- How much do fitted wardrobes cost in Wallingford?
- Fitted wardrobe cost in Wallingford is set by the width, height, door style, internal fit-out and finish of the run, so every job is priced individually rather than against a published rate card. We survey the room and return a written fixed-price quote within 72 hours, so you know the exact figure before any work starts.
- How long does it take from quote to installation?
- Turnaround from quote to installation for a fitted wardrobe is roughly six weeks, because the carcasses and doors are made and sprayed in the workshop before we arrive on site. Installation itself is normally two to four days for a typical bedroom run.
- Will I see a drawing before anything is built?
- Every fitted bedroom project is drawn in CAD, showing elevations and internal layouts, and you approve the drawing before manufacture starts. Changes at this stage cost nothing, which is why we design on screen before cutting any board.
- Do you handle sloping ceilings, chimney breasts and old, uneven walls?
- Sloping ceilings, chimney breasts and out-of-square period walls are the majority of the rooms we fit, handled by levelling and plumbing carcasses on adjustable feet and scribing them tight to the wall. Cornice and pelmet finish the run so it sits flush against surfaces that are rarely square.
- Are the doors painted on site?
- Wardrobe doors and frames are sprayed in our own workshop before delivery rather than painted on site, because a site-brushed finish picks up dust and brush marks that a sprayed film avoids. The result is a harder, more even finish that holds up to daily use.
- How long should a fitted wardrobe last?
- A fitted wardrobe built in 18mm MR MDF or ply with quality soft-close hardware is a permanent fixture that should outlast several decorating cycles. Hinges and runners are the wearing parts, and we record the hardware specification so replacements can be made like for like.
- Do you offer a warranty or guarantee?
- CZ Bespoke Carpentry does not currently offer a formal written guarantee on fitted wardrobes. What is provided instead is £2m public liability insurance, NVQ Level 2 qualified workmanship, ten years of hands-on experience and a snagging visit built into every job.
- Can you work while we are living in the house?
- Living in the house while a fitted wardrobe is installed is normal, because the disruptive part of the job, cutting and spraying, happens off site in the workshop. On site we sheet up, protect the route in and out, and clear the room at the end of each day, working 7:30am to 5:00pm, seven days a week.
- Which areas do you cover?
- CZ Bespoke Carpentry covers Wallingford along with Goring, Streatley, Moulsford, Cholsey, Ipsden, Harwell, Henley and Woodcote, and the surrounding South Oxfordshire villages, for fitted wardrobe and bedroom joinery work.
- Can you move sockets, add lighting or coordinate other trades?
- Moving sockets, adding lighting and coordinating other trades around a fitted wardrobe is handled through trusted trades we work with, sequenced so electrical first fix, radiator moves and decorating happen at the right point in the programme. Nothing has to be undone once the joinery is in.
